I have some friends from childhood but many intense friendships burned out. The most stable friendship is one where you&#8217;ve turned an enemy into a friend. Then you both have a big stake in maintaining good relations, to show how magnamious and big-hearted you are, and frankly it&#8217;s just a wonderful feeling to turn an enemy into a friend.
