None of the people who have done things worthy of fandom have created their own Facebook fan page and asked me to join.<\/p>\n
The less people accomplish, the more they need to trumpet it. People with genuine accomplishment don’t need to shore up their identity with boasting.<\/p>\n
PS. I just noticed that a high school Jewish friend of mine has declared on Facebook that he’s married. I wonder if this is binding by Jewish law? Well, he’s not Orthodox, so I guess no Jewish law is binding (it gets a vote, not a veto).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
