\nThe sharpest version of that theme arrives when Stacy finds the journal Preston kept at the Montana cabin. She reads it and realizes she didn’t know this man. Her friend doesn’t offer much comfort. If he had wanted you to read it while he was alive, she says, he would have asked. He didn’t. So now is the time.
