I don’t know much about Torah but I instinctively find the notion of an ordained female Orthodox rabbi to be post-Orthodox<\/a> aka outside of Orthodox Judaism. <\/p>\n

The Orthodox Judaism I thought I knew prescribes very separate roles for men and women. It takes ten men to make a minyan<\/a>. A woman can not be counted for a minyan. Almost all time-bound ritual commandments<\/a> are binding upon men and not upon women. <\/p>\n

How can a woman, who is not commanded, take a position of religious leadership over men, who are commanded to follow these commandments?<\/p>\n
