Anybody can call themselves an Alexander Technique teacher, just like anybody can call themselves a rabbi.<\/p>\n
Like Judaism, Alexander Technique is not run by a hierarchy.<\/p>\n
What I did not know was that you apparently need a license in some states to teach Alexander Technique. I hear that in states such as Florida, you have to get a massage therapy certificate or some such if you are going to do any job that involves putting hands on people.<\/p>\n
I just picture myself stepping into the state of Florida, and as soon as I start following my directions, sending my head forward and up, letting my back lengthen to widen, and bam, some Florida Highway Patrol officer will cuff me and put me in the back of his car.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
