{"id":162325,"date":"2025-07-21T16:21:22","date_gmt":"2025-07-22T00:21:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lukeford.net\/blog\/?p=162325"},"modified":"2025-07-21T16:23:06","modified_gmt":"2025-07-22T00:23:06","slug":"news-3-weeks-after-damning-report-leaked-fidf-chair-and-ceo-step-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lukeford.net\/blog\/?p=162325","title":{"rendered":"News: &#8216;3 weeks after damning report leaked, FIDF chair and CEO step down&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><A HREF=\"https:\/\/ejewishphilanthropy.com\/3-weeks-after-damning-report-leaked-fidf-chair-and-ceo-step-down\/\">Judah Ari Gross writes<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nUnder mounting pressure following the leak of an internal investigation alleging internal dysfunction, inappropriate spending and a toxic work environment at the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, the group\u2019s embattled chair and CEO have resigned, two sources connected to the organization exclusively told eJewishPhilanthropy on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Since the initial leak, which found that board Chair Morey Levovitz has been serving as the de facto head of the organization instead of CEO Steve Weil, additional sources connected to the group \u2014 current and former staff and lay leaders \u2014 have come forward to eJP, accusing the organization of misleading fundraising tactics and mismanaged sexual harassment cases, among other issues.<\/p>\n<p>In light of the allegations, which were first published by the Israeli news site Ynet, the FIDF national board convened last week to vote on Levovitz\u2019s continued tenure as board chair.
