On the other hand, if Los Angeles Jews were trying to survive a Holocaust, publicly exposing problems in the community would be unwise.<\/p>\n
If you are living as a resident stranger in a country at war, it is suicidal to publicly attack your host and side with its invader. That’s what Lira did, and given his weak health, that was a suicidal strategy. In addition, he had an exaggerated sense of the value of what he was doing. In the end, all he did was kill himself.
