Only by understanding these narratives and frames of reference\u2014their genealogies, their investment in political, legal, intellectual, and social contexts\u2014is it possible to reflect on where we have been, where we currently are, and where we are heading collectively.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;I do think the academic study of religion, both in Canada and abroad, is in a<br \/>\nprecarious situation at the current moment. Enrollments in courses are down, provincial<br \/>\nfunding for the arts post-COVID will inevitably be even worse than that in the pre-<br \/>\nCOVID era&#8230; Will we survive?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aaron W.
