The 1828 Webster&#8217;s Dictionary defined an American as, &#8220;DESCENDENTS OF EUROPEANS born in America.&#8221;  <\/p>\n<p>1:14:48 &#8220;Can anyone become an American?&#8221;  No.  But now, if that idea is true, It is not unique to the United States.  Anyone can now become an Australian, an Englishman, a Frenchman, a Norwegian, a Swede.  There&#8217;s nothing unique about the United States being a nation of immigrants.<br \/>\nRonald Reagan said, \u201cYou can go to live in France, but you cannot become a Frenchman. You can go to live in Germany or Turkey or Japan, but you cannot become a German, a Turk, or a Japanese.
