Rabbi Slifkin explores in his books conflicts and resolutions between traditional Judaism and modern science. <sup id=\"cite_ref-2\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leib_Tropper#cite_note-2\"><span>[<\/span>3<span>]<\/span><\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>In 2006, Tropper revoked the conversion of a woman on the basis of her being seen wearing pants and not covering her hair, thus rendering her children non-Jewish, as well. <sup id=\"cite_ref-3\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leib_Tropper#cite_note-3\"><span>[<\/span>4<span>]<\/span><\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>In February 2009 it was revealed on the Daat Torah blog <sup id=\"cite_ref-4\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leib_Tropper#cite_note-4\"><span>[<\/span>5<span>]<\/span><\/a><\/sup> that a letter <sup id=\"cite_ref-5\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leib_Tropper#cite_note-5\"><span>[<\/span>6<span>]<\/span><\/a><\/sup> which in several ultra orthodox rabbis strongly criticize rabbi <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Herbert_Bomzer\" title=\"Herbert Bomzer\">Herbert Bomzer<\/a>, a modern orthodox rabbi, was forged by Tropper. After the forgery was discovered, some of the rabbis which their names were used in the forged letter released a statement <sup id=\"cite_ref-6\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leib_Tropper#cite_note-6\"><span>[<\/span>7<span>]<\/span><\/a><\/sup> distancing themselves from it.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2009, Tropper was sued by philanthropist <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Guma_Aguiar\" title=\"Guma Aguiar\">Guma Aguiar<\/a> for allegedly misappropriating funds given to Tropper by Guma for charitable purposes.
