I’m listening to this lecture by Alison Armstrong (UnderstandMen.com<\/a>) about the "amazing development of men."<\/p>\n

I’m trying to figure out which stage of life I am in.<\/p>\n

This is my second time listening to this lecture.<\/p>\n

I just figured it out. I’m "in the tunnel<\/a>."<\/p>\n

Alison says: Before I tell you about the next stage, which is obviously the King, I will tell you about the stage a man goes through before becoming the King. This happens after all the hard work and intensity of being a prince. We call this time in a man’s life "The Tunnel". A man we know who has been through the tunnel calls this’the descent into darkness before the further you go, the less certain you are.’<\/p>\n

"When the tunnel begins depends on when a man started his real career. The Tunnel begins 12-15 years after that. Men are in the Tunnel from six months to three years. In the Tunnel, he undergoes a profound transformation from becoming to being. This is an intense soul-searching time for a man. He’s searching out what he values. This can be regarded as a sacred time in a man’s life.<\/p>\n

"In our culture, we call The Tunnel a mid-life crisis… He has to go through this alone and to distance himself from other people."<\/p>\n
