I was born and raised in Los Angeles… Obviously I have ancestors who come from Africa, but you don’t find Americans of Italian descent being referred to as Italian-American or Americans of Greek descent being referred to as Greek-Americans. This thing is very annoying and condescending, as though I am very insecure and have to attach myself to a continent where I have never been. Most American blacks have never been to Africa."<\/p>\n
