SAN FRANCISCO \u2014 The artist John Criscitello of Seattle first became angry a few years ago about the changes in his beloved neighborhood, Capitol Hill, historically the city\u2019s enclave for gay men and lesbians. The area had become decidedly more straight and, in his view, infuriatingly obnoxious.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn Friday and Saturday nights, it\u2019s like Mardi Gras,\u201d Mr. Criscitello said.
