Cultivated is pretty close to RP:<\/p>\n<p>1.) Broad: the late Steve Irwin.<br \/>\n2.) General: Australian PM Julia Gillard.<br \/>\n3.) Cultivated: Cate Blanchett. (Blanchett\u2019s somewhat more \u201cBritish-Sounding\u201d accent may be a result of her being an actress, but her speech nonetheless resembles this type of elevated Australian speech).<\/p>\n<p>* There is a fourth Australian accent: Newscastrix.
