MP Keith Vaz tried to hide his real identity from two male escorts by telling them he was a washing machine salesman named Jim.<\/p>\n

He blurted out the pseudonym as he was about to engage in sexual activity with two Eastern European male escorts.<\/p>\n

As they discussed sex, the men asked the married Labour MP about his work.<\/p>\n

Mr Vaz said: \u201cThese are industrial washing machines, that I sell. Industrial. For big \u2013 for hotels.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to say the machines were used to clean towels in bulk.<\/p>\n

Minutes later, as the men said they undressed, one of the escorts asked Mr Vaz: \u201cWhat\u2019s your name, by the way?\u201d<\/p>\n

He replied: \u201cJim\u201d, then spelt it out letter by letter, saying: \u201cJ-I-M.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Mr Vaz had already been rumbled because one of the escorts said he \u00adrecognised the famous and powerful MP from his frequent appearances on television.<\/p>\n

Mr Vaz gave the false moniker at his meeting with the men eight days ago.<\/p>\n

It followed a string of text messages in which details of the late-night rendezvous \u2013 timings, venue and financial arrangements \u2013 were discussed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
