Why are so many black motorists getting pulled over by police? Perhaps Philando Castile&#8217;s record can tell us something?<\/p>\n<p><A HREF=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/07\/17\/us\/before-philando-castiles-fatal-encounter-a-costly-trail-of-minor-traffic-stops.html?hp&#038;action=click&#038;pgtype=Homepage&#038;clickSource=story-heading&#038;module=second-column-region&#038;region=top-news&#038;WT.nav=top-news\">New York Times<\/a>: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>But Mr. Castile did not follow his mother\u2019s advice to lodge an official complaint about biased policing, possibly because he drove for six consecutive years without a valid license, as officers would quickly discover after they pulled him over.<\/p>\n<p>In his first six years as a driver, Mr. Castile received nearly two dozen tickets, mostly for driving without insurance or with a suspended license.
