A graduate of Harvard Law School, Debra Martin Chase ran production companies for Whitney Houston and Denzel Washington before striking out on her own. "What I'm naturally attracted to are female wish fulfillment and empowerment movies," Chase says. "I find them refreshing. As women are constantly struggling with their changing role in society, it's important that they see positive images onscreen -- about taking charge of their lives and finding happiness and fulfillment in the process. "I've been fortunate enough to straddle the worlds of movies, TV and music in the last few years in a very real way and have come to understand the synergy between music and the visual arts.
