POOL TRADESHOW celebrates Concept to Creation event

POOLTRADESHOW, the leading fashion tradeshow for emerging art and design driven brands, hosted a successful launch event, Concept to Creation, in the LOOP space in Silver Lake, CA on Saturday, June 7th. The event was a spin-off of the theme "How does a brilliant idea become fashion?" which is the premise of the 16th installment of POOLTRADESHOW’s upcoming August show in Las Vegas. The event also marked the launch of the new website design that directly reflects the Concept to Creation aesthetic, complete with the featured designer’s inspiration elements throughout the website. The show floor was packed with fashion industry tastemakers including buyers from Patricia Fields, Ron Herman, and American Rag.

The raw warehouse space was completely transformed into a creative workshop showcasing the full circle of Concept to Creation from designers Anzevino and Florence, Feral Childe, Gytha Mander, Mary Meyer, Meadow, REVL, and Velvet Leaf. The space included design vignettes with mannequins and giant canvases of inspiration boards with pinned up sketches, patterns and concept visions. Versions of the design vignettes featured during the Concept to Creation event will be displayed throughout the media lounge on the tradeshow floor in Las Vegas.

"POOL, once again, is doing what nobody else is doing and they are doing it brilliantly! Concept to Creation was a celebration of the creative process and a wonderful prelude to the upcoming Vegas show—we are so excited", expressed William Anzevino of Anzevino and Florence.

All of the featured brands participated in a live fashion show/photo shoot crafted by photographer Jiro Schneider, where models showed off looks from the designer’s collections in front of the crowd.

"The creative environment clearly expressed the connection between Concept to Creation and it was even more apparent during the live fashion show as I was able to easily identify each designer brand just from being surrounded by each of the designer’s vignettes", gushed Becky Carter of Velvet Leaf.

Popular Los Angeles boutique, Apartment 3, produced the exclusive live fashion show/photo shoot and a successful pop up shop where the featured designers sold their designs directly to attendees.

Complimentary refreshments from Marani Premium Vodka, Peroni Beer, Monster Energy Drink, Hint Water, Archie’s Ice Cream, and TK burgers were served. Sportswear International distributed copies of their special re-launch issue.
