What To Do About Libya?

On his radio show today, Dennis Prager said: “Americans are aware of what is going on in the Arab world. We love liberty. We want liberty spread everywhere. Number two. We don’t want to be hurt by more terrorists coming from the Arab world. Americans’ primary concern with the Arab world is — don’t send anybody to kill us.”

“The Muslim dream is a world that is Islamic but that means Sharia would govern people’s lives. How is that reconciled with our understanding of personal liberty? I don’t think it is reconcilable. If the world was Christian, there’s no Christian law. You are perfectly free to lead your life as you wish. That’s very different from a theocratic ideal. Judaism’s goal is not to have the world Jewish but to have the world ethical monotheist.”
