Two Lawsuits Filed Against Shalhevet March 3

One by Rabbi Meir Prengler and one by Simon Sananas.

Rabbi Prengler alleges he was terminated with inadequate notice. Sculptor Simon Sananas says that over $100,000 worth of his sculptures at Shalhevet were destroyed in addition to the sculptures of many of his students who will not be able to get AP credit for the class.

Shalhevet’s new head of school is in town. Rabbi Elchanan Weinbach met with potential Shalhevet ninth graders yesterday. A compromised was reached whereby school founder Jerry Friedman remains on the board but does not attend administrative meetings.
