The Crush

I was hearing stories about getting close to the rebbe and it made me think that I never experienced crushes as a goy. I grew up a Protestant and Protestants don’t tend to press together tightly. We were more restrained. Jews don’t seem to have these restraints. They’re much closer with each other and don’t mind pushing and shoving to get what they want.

Jeff emails: “What are you talking about? Have you never ridden a subway, gone anywhere in Tokyo, NYC or India, or gone to a rock concert of any sort other than Air Supply? “Jews” did not invent moshing, crowds, pushing or shoving. You need to stop reading Der Stuermer and have a life (though as you point out in the NY piece, you might be getting too old for much of it).”
