Dennis Prager lamented that Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot died in his sleep. Pot was responsible for the murder of up to two million Cambodians during the mid '70s, as reenacted in the movie THE KILLING FIELDS. Prager wanted Pot to suffer more.

Dennis derided teachers who had trouble disciplining a student who cursed out a teacher. Prager says educators are weak. In today's psychologically sensitive age, we sometimes analyze too much and morally discipline too little.

Prager opposes extensive sex education in high school. He believes that distributing free condoms encourages teens to have sex. What if schools announced that we are giving away books or bathing suits? Would not students assume that they were meant to use such items?

A caller said he was eager to receive Prager's new CD ROM. Wasn't that supposed to come out months ago? I know that DP has been collecting money and taking orders for the thing for six months now. Does his business ineptitude know no limits?

I hope the CD ROM is a vast improvement on his web site.

Dennis began his show discussing a conversation he had with a teacher who attended a speech he gave recently in Pennsylvania. This teacher told Dennis that the administration in his district told their teachers that they are primarily to blame if they can't control a student's behavior. This teacher gave the example of a student who used foul language in the classroom toward his teacher. Rather than tell the student that his behavior is unacceptable and remove him from the classroom, the administration said that the teacher needs to work with this student and help him understand why he needs to change his behavior. The administration said that a teacher who throws a student out of his classroom has failed that student. Dennis disagreed and said that the student already knows that the language is offensive and doesn't belong in the classroom, that is why he used it. He said that by concentrating on this one student, the other students are neglected, and that the schools are losing site of their original task - to teach the students core subjects. Dennis said that the teachers are being used as scapegoats because students today are not held responsible for almost anything, including their own behavior. Dennis said that the student should be thrown out, suspended and not allowed to return until he promises to uphold proper classroom decorum so that the teacher can concentrate on teaching his subject to all the students.

Dennis also discussed the topic of Khmer Rouge leader, Pol Pot, dying in his sleep. Dennis asked his audience if they thought he was wrong for wanting Pol Pot to die a more painful death. Dennis said that he would not call on the government to torture him, although he wouldn't shed a tear if he was tortured, but that he didn't want him dying peacefully in his sleep either. Dennis said even a disease or something of that nature would have made him feel better than a peaceful death for a mass murderer. Pol Pot is responsible for the torture and murder of millions of Cambodians in the 1970's.
